My Rating: ★★★★
Synopsis:
That is what 35
year old, happily married mother of two, Alexis Summers finds out, when decides
it is time to return to work. After being a stay-at-home Mum for the past nine
years, Alexis now realizes a complete career change is just what she needs.
She becomes a
Concierge Attendant in a prestigious hotel in Melbourne working for the owner
of the hotel, Bryce Clark. He resides in the penthouse, is extremely hot, and
is a man who always gets what he wants, and what he wants is Alexis. She does a
relatively good job resisting Bryce at first, but the undeniable chemistry,
sexual tension and playfulness between the two of them are intense. He has
copious amounts of money, sex appeal and above all, is a genuinely nice guy.
Bryce has been waiting for his one true love to come along, and he is positive
that one true love is Alexis.
There is one
problem; she is happily married to Rick, and no matter how strong her feelings
are for Bryce, she is adamant she will not cheat. She draws a line in the sand,
but finds it increasingly hard not to cross. Will she succumb to Temptation?
My Thoughts:
I have a serious love/ hate relationship with this book. I
absolutely loved it because it was complex, the story kept you engaged and it
was extremely sexy. I hate this book just because it was frustrating in an
enjoyable way.
Alexis is a strong, confident, caring and loving person. She is
also cheeky, sarcastic and a little sinful at the same time. She is a stay at
home mom who is returning to work for the first time after 9 years. She gets a
position as a concierge in a hotel, and quickly meets the mysteriously hot Mr.
Clark, the owner of the hotel she is working at. She quickly becomes the center
of his attention and is promoted as his personal assistant. Things heat up
pretty quickly while they are along together most of the day. You need to give Alexis
credit though, because no matter how bad the sexual tension gets between them,
she still resists him, because she doesn’t want to go back on the integrity of
her vows. She believes she is happy with
her husband of twelve years, but is she really?
Bryce Clark is an extremely hot billionaire, he also caring and
compassionate, and a little over the top with his feelings, but what girl wouldn’t
want that? When he meets Alexis, he can’t help but fall for her even though he
knows she is married. The tension between them is just to great and he just
keeps tempting her. Can she resist him?
This novel was sizzling hot, and sends you through a rollercoaster
of emotions. Its funny, frustrating and no doubt infuriating, and it just
leaves you turning pages and wanting more when it’s over.
Hopefully I wont have to wait to long to read the rest of what
is Bryce and Alexis’ story
